Wednesday memo

I shall be in later on Thursday so make sure your research and planning is up-to-date and active with all the planning scans, links and explanations inserted before tomorrow. Then begin your evaluation in Word so I can check and remind some of you what else you did and what else you could insert or comment upon. Do not upload until we have agreed that your evaluation is complete, unless you are 100% certain that you have covered all bases in an interesting, detailed and active way. I want to show you a really good AS one as an example, then you can upload this morning. They will be all marked on Thursday night. :-)) The ones I've seen are a delight so far!

Why are there only 4 followers of this blog, when there are 10 of you in the group?! I know some of you have blogs of your own, but you shouls be looking out for general comments like this and sharing ideas!

Welcome to A2, students!
Good to see you back all willing to carry on and well done with regards to your results.
Great to see you want to improve grades too and that Manveer, Attiya and Ngone have got Media placements with KicFM radio this year. Thanks to Stefan for his help with National Film Club Summer School too. This year it gets harder!

We start with a skills audit of technical skills and theoretical knowledge because you need to be able to review critically your media work over the 2 years under pressure in the exam, as well as learn our 2 topics, We Media and Media and Collective Identity. Don't forget that everything is interrelated and if you can read widely in the Media , you will do well. The conference organised in February will be invaluable to help you make synoptic links . Read the material given thoroughly and learn the case studies, as well as read widely. Look forward to yo doing well!
